It’s $13, you can’t go wrong. I’m all about efficiency and quality….I mean we’re budding photographers so who wants (or can afford) to spend gobs of money on lighting/diffusion…not me! I’ve made due with less and adding this little diffuser in makes life easier post production!

This is the first diffuser that I’ve seen that folds flat, and that was really appealing since I don’t have a lot of room in my current camera bag. Upon arrival I put it on the flash to test it out. It appeared to be working as it should, although test shots of rooms aren’t quite as easy to tell as if it were photos of people. The following evening was when I got to use this on people. My family has taken to having me take the family portrait. It helped reduce the glare which is what it was supposed to do so I’m happy. Only thing I’m concerned with is durability, there are loops used to thread the velcro in which to hold the diffuser to the flash that look and feel fairly fragile. Since I don’t do a whole lot of portrait work it’s not something I’m worried about, but if you’re going to be using the diffuser a lot and are concerned with durability I wouldn’t recommend this set-up.

What a huge relief it was to find this little puppy. I’ve been struggling for a while with the harsh lighting off my flash but hadn’t been able to find a tool to buy that would solve this problem for me. Many products use sticky adhesives to adhere their diffusers or just looked to bulky to use or carry in my camera bag.
This Opteka is so easy to use and carry around. It just works fantastic. It uses a velco strap to attach (which is a breeze) making is so easy to off and on that I don’t frustrate myself when I need to change up my configuration quickly. It’s made of super high quality synthetic material too. It folds flat which is so important to me because space in my camera bag is always at a premium.
The price point is unbeatable!
Get it. It’s a good buy and you will use it constantly.

Bit cheaply made…but then, it’s under $20. It’s a little hard to attach firmly to your flash without it falling off or without it leaking light. Fair price but be ready to mod it a little once you try and use it.

Easy to use and to fold and store in the camera bag. The flash loses a few stops but the lighting is even. I bought this to use with macros shots / tabletop photography and the quality of light is acceptable, much better than my more expensive “plastic” diffuser.
